Smoking and Mental Health: Know the Facts

Smoking is much more common in adults with mental illness. This puts people with mental illness at higher risk of developing health problems due to smoking. There are many risk factors that make it challenging for people to quit, such as stress, lower income and lack of access to healthcare. In fact, those with mental illness are less likely to quit smoking than other adults. But many do want to quit – know the facts.
